FOOTHILLS - AHUJA FARM HOUSE

This retreat amidst the lush green expanse in the lap of the Aravalli Hills was crafted as a distinctive holiday home. Its highlight is the continuity of spaces - from nature, to built- up structure and back to nature. The décor and interiors were designed in the minimalist style for an uncluttered look to match this openness. The client brief was to create a home which would be timeless comfortable and require as little maintenance as possible. The spaces are organized into a U- shaped plan focusing on the central lawn and achieving privacy in individual suites with an extended courtyard planning. The farmhouse includes living spaces, amphitheatre, deck areas, dining hall and party lawns. The spaces were developed to maximize interactions with nature. The use of bamboo pergolas and screening in the deck area facilitates the harmonious interaction, creating

an atmosphere of tranquility and calm. The farm house is designed as an idyllic place into which to retreat. Rustic materials like bricks, stones and wood are extensively used to add warmth without the farm house losing its identity and functionality. A set of two rooms is joined by a central deck area comprising of Jacuzzi and Gazebos which offers the breathtaking view of the Aravalli Hills. The farm house is cool, iconic, sophisticated and simple. Landscaped and built spaces, area designed to foster the feeling of continuity and peace punctuated by the central lawn.
